Who Staffing is looking for an Epic Implementation Consultant for a fulltime, direct hire opportunity with our client Columbia, MD. This client company has developed award-winning software that has been chosen by over 17 million users and more than 4,400 customers across the globe, including half of the Fortune 100. The company’s new focus is to expand rapidly into the healthcare vertical, integrating their software with Epic in hospitals nationwide. As a result of this new focus, the organization is seeking an experienced Epic integration/implementation expert to join their growing solutions engineer team. 

The Epic Implementation Consultant is able to work remotely from home anywhere in the Eastern or Midwestern U.S., with 50% travel required to include quarterly visits to the Columbia, MD office. This role could involve Monday-Thursday travel for 2-4 weeks consecutively for certain implementations. 

Job Description:

Our client is looking for an Epic Implementation Consultant to formalize and scale their current healthcare implementation practice. The position works with our client’s Sales and Services teams to successfully customize software implementations for hospitals with Epic applications. This role collaborates with sales to provide onsite or virtual client presentations and helps to assess customers’ business goals and objectives. Effective Epic Implementation Consultants will translate their clients’ business needs into demonstrable capabilities in their clients’ applications and will configure solutions to align with specific client requirements.   

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute an overarching technical strategy that promotes our client’s products and services. 

  • Works closely with the sales team to actively participate in sales calls. 

  • Articulates the technical architecture of client’s products to ensure successful transition from pre-sales to deployment. 

  • Provides post-sales support by developing accurate and comprehensive scope of work documents.

  • Creates and delivers compelling, client centric presentations and demos by connecting technical features to business drivers and pain points.

  • Represents our clients at conferences and seminars, to include conducting software demonstrations.

  • Assists in response generation to RFI/RFPs.

  • Assists with Technical Team.

    • Proof of concept implementations

    • New ideas for integration

    • User Management process  

Organizational Support/Interaction:

  • Works closely with the professional services and product support organizations. 

  • Works collaboratively with Sales Leadership globally to share expertise, resources, best practices, market knowledge, and other forms of effective commercial information.

  • Solicits and applies customer feedback (internal and external) to improve service.

  • Supports the development of competitive analysis in the (regional) product market.  

Work Experience/Knowledge:

  • Four-year degree in Software Engineering, Business, or similar technical path is required.

  • 3+ years of software implementation experience in a hospital environment (internally or as an external consultant).

  • Experience completing 1-2 software implementations in a hospital is required.

  • Experience with Epic integration and build (clinical side) is required.

  • Ability to travel 50% for 2-4 weeks at a time (Monday-Thursday) is required.

  • Experience with Cerner and/or Meditech is preferable.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, Server OS, MS SQL and ability to analyze log files.

  • Knowledge of Web Design technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.

  • Must possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to conduct effective solution demonstrations, written proposals, etc.

  • Must be self-motivated, highly organized, and analytical, with the ability to adapt and be creative to solve problems. 

  • Ability to liaise, influence, challenge effectively, and build relationships at senior management, peer group, and partner level.
