About Who Staffing

As one of the leading staffing and recruiting agencies in Maryland, Who Staffing is focused on the identification of talent in the areas of Information Technology, Sales and Business Development, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations and Administration. Business Operations and IT staffing is our bread and butter, and our clients represent many different industry verticals, including technology, healthcare, education, financial services, manufacturing, marketing/advertising, communications, entertainment, federal/state/local government, and non-profit. We have access to talent with a comprehensive variety of in-demand skill sets and includes a breadth of experience, education, and compensation levels.

Our Approach

Client Engagement Process

We strive to serve as a consultant or business partner to our clients, rather than as a vendor. Our intention is to provide as much market knowledge and guidance to our client so we can work together to identify talent that will make a true difference to their organization. Therefore, before we begin our search efforts, we will thoroughly discuss all the facets of the job requirement; skills, experience, education, culture-fit, work hours and location, to ensure we are sourcing and screening for exactly what our client wants and needs. We also will discuss the preferred engagement model and provide a flexible solution to again meet the needs for our client.

Our clients will have access to our entire team throughout the search, including the Senior Partners at Who.

Candidate Engagement Process

We begin all of our candidate relationships with an initial conversation. This conversation is intended to uncover a specific set of information, which will help us identify potential right-fit opportunities for that individual. This information includes existing technical skills, the reason for looking at new opportunities, current day-to-day job responsibilities, and compensation details, both current and desired.

In addition, and equally important, we discuss what they want to do in their next position. We uncover the top three criteria that need to exist in their next role, understand commute radius and get a clear definition of their compensation expectations to include salary, benefits, work schedule flexibility, and any other critical need for them to select a new employer.

Should the skills, key criteria, commute and money align with a client opportunity that we are working, we will submit their resume for client review. Prior to our client meeting a candidate we represent, we will have arranged a meeting with that candidate to solidify our commitment to represent the candidate and deepen that relationship.

Talent Identification Tools

Naturally, we utilize many of the technology tools available on the market today for agency recruiting; job boards, social media, user groups, and more. But our most successful and reliable source for talent is our proprietary database that we have built through our network, experience in the industry, and successful past placements. We are always staying connected with both the active and passive community of talent to best serve both our clients and the marketplace of professionals we represent.

Recruiting Philosophy

When we engage with our client base and the business community, we stress one critical point…the process is not about us. Everything should revolve around our client’s needs and the desires of the professionals that we represent. This means we approach every engagement with a servant’s mentality…How can we help you?

Our goal is to make connections and hope that those people want to work together. If not, we do not try to push, sell or cajole any candidate into taking a job they don’t want, or a client into hiring a candidate they don’t like just so that we can make a fee. We won’t do it, period. We would rather not make a placement than make a bad one, and we trust and believe that this principle will lead to strong long-term relationships with a community that knows we are in it for the right reasons.
