Job Summary:

In this front-line role, the Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for writing estimates using Xactimate for residential insurance claims. The individual must accurately define the scope of work and complete accurate and timely estimates in a high-volume environment. Must work with internal as well as external personnel to transition project from estimating stage to production and completion. The Estimator/PM must be capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects and communicating in all programs such as Alacrity, Xactware, etc. 

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Must be proficient using Xactimate (3+ years of experience).

·       The ability to work in a team-oriented, results driven atmosphere and handle multiple projects.

·       Keep detailed notes on various projects and able to effectively update management on status of projects using our CRM system.

·       Develop, review and negotiate project budgets with insurance agency claims representative.

·       Possess working knowledge of all project’s plans, specifications, Owner Contract, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals and all other project related documents.

·       Initiate, establish and maintain working relationships with architect/engineer, insurance agency representatives and subcontractors to facilitate construction activities.

·       Organize, conduct and represent the company at project coordination meetings at regular agreed upon intervals.

·       Negotiate, prepare, issue and execute change orders to owners, design team, subcontractors, insurance agency and others as well as prepare revisions to original budget as a result of changes and revisions to work.

·       Participate in weekly scheduled project staff meetings.

·       Familiar with all Policies and Processes as it relates to this position.

·       Actively participates in internal team(s) that focus on continuous improvement of the business.

·       Answer program calls directly, update accordingly, and schedule meetings communicate with homeowner effectively. 

Job Requirements:

·       Demonstrated proficiency in scheduling, budgeting, client relationship, interpersonal skills, computer skills, safety/insurance, ability to communicate both orally and written.

·       Generally, understand the essential job functions, duties and responsibilities of an Estimator

·       Proficient with Xactimate, Excel, Outlook and Word, etc.

·       Physically able to perform all duties, including inspection of damaged areas (i.e. roofs, basements, etc.)

·       Must be a motivated, self-starter that is willing to work hard

·       Proficient (or willing to learn) various insurance programs such as Alacrity, ConCon, Xactware. 

Experience Requirements:

·       Insurance Industry Estimating: 3 years (Required)

·       Xactimate: 3 years (Required)

·       Alacrity: 3 years (Preferred)

·       Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
